James Wilking, 93, of Nicollet died Monday, July 10, 2017 at Mayo Health Systems - St. Mary's Campus in Rochester.
Funeral service will be 11 AM Saturday, July 15, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet with Pastor Daniel Balge officiating. Burial will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service at church on Saturday.
The Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet is handling the arrangements.

James is survived by his sons, Dale (Maggie) Wilking of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, David (Nora) Wilking, Danny Wilking and Bruce (Kathy) Wilking, all of Nicollet; daughter, Beverly (Tom) Worsham of Clifton, Colorado; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lorraine; and his grandsons, Jacob and Zachary Wilking.
James Daniel Fredrick Wilking was born March 3, 1924 in New Ulm to John and Louise (Wels) Wilking. He was a 1942 graduate of Nicollet High School. James was united in marriage to Lorraine Harmening on June 1, 1947 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. After marriage they farmed in Nicollet Township until retiring in 2000. He enjoyed farm events, listening to KNUJ and old time music. His true loves were his family and farming.
