Irene Hayden, 95, of LeSueur, Minnesota died on Monday morning, November 27, 2017, at the Minnesota Valley Health Care Facility. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017, 11 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church in LeSueur. There will be a C. C. W. Rosary starting at 4 p.m. on Wednesday and a visitation continuing until 8 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in LeSueur. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 8:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in LeSueur. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials go to St. Anne's Church or St. Anne's School, or a charity of your choice.
Irene was born on October 4, 1922, in Mankato, MN to Ferdinand & Zita (Kreutzer) Heinzman. She grew up in the Mankato area and attended Good Council and Loyola Catholic Schools. She then attended a Mankato area commercial college where she studied business. She married Robert Hayden on August 29, 1945, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato, MN. The couple lived in Tyrone Township, Le Sueur County for many years. Irene was very active in her St. Anne's Church Community. She was a great homemaker, fiercely loved her family, enjoyed her Bridge Clubs, their Anniversary group (small dinner group), and many other varied activities.
She is survived by her children; Joe (Mary) Hayden of Bloomington, MN; Paul (Renee) Hayden of Benson, MN; John "Jack" (Jill) Hayden of Cedarburg, WI; Louise (Milo) Falk of Minnetonka, MN; and Tim (Lori) Hayden of Canby, MN. 8 grandchildren, 10 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister; Mary (Dennis) Hayes of Colorado Springs, CO. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert, in 2015;, and brothers, Ralph and Jerome Heinzman.
Irene was very thankful for her family and many friends. We were blessed to have her here for so many years. She will be dearly missed.
