Gerald's Story

December 26, 1936 ~ April 15, 2017
I have finished God's plan for my life. In return I hope to get a set of keys to His Golden Gate. At my request there will be no viewing. You will have to remember me from when we last spoke. I want you to smile when you think of me and in your smile I will live forever.
Jerry has fought a long and courageous battle with cancer and finally has won. He is in his heavenly home with Jesus!
Jerry was an enthusiastic wood worker who loved to share his hobby. Love comes from the heart...and also from the hands! He also loved his yard, trees and flowers.
Jerry is survived by his loving family; wife of 60 years, Nancy; daughter, Jodi (Brad) of West Chester, PA; son, John (Maria) of Andover, MN; 6 grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Megan, April, Jenneil and Patrick; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Judy Picht (Bob) and Donna Repp; 4 nieces and 6 nephews and many more precious relatives he held dear.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Magdaline and Earl Roberts; brother, Dean and sister, Sherry (Glenn) Karg. Also his beloved father and mother-in-law, Jack and CeDella Frey.
Jerry was a member of Belgrade United Methodist Church for 60 years. There will be a Memorial Service at Belgrade United Methodist Church in North Mankato, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at church. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato.
We would like to thank the Andreas Cancer Center, Dr. Sekhri and staff and Mayo West Hospice Team for their excellent care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Belgrade United Methodist Church, Andreas Cancer Center or Mayo West Hospice Team.
