Ethel M. Frost, age 94 died Friday, January 12, 2018 at Pheasants Ridge in St. Peter, the same day her mother past away in 1979.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Tuesday. Memorials may be given to Mayo Clinic Hospice or the SCHOLA Foundation: Joe Reinbold Music Scholarship Fund. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Ethel M. Frost was born April 18, 1923 to Thomas and Lena (Fedonick) Podruzny in Massena, NY. After graduation she served her country in the US Army Air Corp. Ethel was united in marriage to Edward Frost on March 10, 1945 in New Orleans, LA. The couple moved to Mankato and they became co-owners of Mahowalds Hardware. Ethel helped with bookkeeping in the later years.
She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Ethel enjoyed volunteering at the hospital, knitting, crocheting and most of all attending her grandchildren's events.
Ethel is survived by her two children, James Frost and his good friend, Sara Osborne, Judy (Jerry) Reinbold all of Mankato; four grandchildren, Teri Frost, Michelle (Eric) Mayo, Bill Reinbold and special friend, Ann Etherington, Christine Reinbold; three great-grandchildren; sister, Blanche Hrisko of Pawling, NY; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward in 1995; grandson, Joe in 2009; brother, Tom.
