Donald R Kubal
Don was born on July 22, 1932, in Minneapolis to Laurence and Blanche (Oblinger) Kubal. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean War. Don married Shirley Wacker on April 14, 1956. He worked as a bricklayer for Les Pinske, Del's Construction of LeSueur, and Adolfson & Peterson of Minneapolis. Don was a lifetime member, former Post Commander, and served on the color guard unit of the Arlington VFW Post 6031. He served on the Arlington A's Baseball Association and was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church and bricklayer unions. Don and Shirley were inseparable - taking trips to area casinos, walking the town of Arlington, and going to their grandchildren's activities. Don enjoyed being with his family, having coffee with his "Guardian Angels," and attending church on Sundays followed by breakfast with his friends.
The Don Kubal family would like to extend a special thank-you to Ridgeview Hospice and his neighbors, extended family, and friends for all the support given to us.
Don is survived by his children and their families: Greg (Corinne) Kubal and their children, Alex, Andrew (fiancé Olivia Bovee), and Aaron; Tammy Kubal and her children, Kirby (Brittany) and their children Hunter and Colton and Brittany (Matt) Turner; Lisa (Will) Holt and their children, Matthew (Christy), Angela, and Rachel; siblings: Harold (Pat) Kubal, Robert (Aggie) Kubal; sister-in-law Ellie Kubal; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Duane and Lois Wacker; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley, son Gary, parents Laurence and Blanche Kubal, and parents-in-law Leona and Albert Wacker.
