Diane Sue Mrotz Diane Sue Mrotz, age 63, of Mankato, died on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Hillcrest Health Care Center after a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.
Diane was born on June 23, 1955 in Albert Lea, MN to Clifford and Charlotte (Runden) Bye. She graduated from Mankato High School. Diane then attended Mankato Vocational School and graduated with a degree in nursing. On July 31, 1982, Diane was united in marriage to Jim Mrotz. Diane was a nurse at Mankato House for many years, she loved taking care of people. Diane's biggest blessing in life was her daughter, Ellyn Sue. She enjoyed bingo, playing the organ, and was obsessed with the color purple.
Diane is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Ellyn Mrotz (Tyler Watson); brother, David (Patti) Bye; special nieces, Krissy, Lori, Tessa; and many other loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private family service is being held. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Morson-Ario VFW Post #9713. Please join the family for bingo and celebration.

Diane & I went to Nursing School together & spent many hours studying & Laughing šŸ˜ŠšŸ’• She was so excited when her Precious Ellie was born-such a sweet Baby šŸ’•

Diane & I became friend while working at Carlson Craft in aboit 1980. She was such a hoot! Her wedding to Jim Mrotz was a beautiful celebration & Ellie is such a wonderful daughter. Diane will be truly missed šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™
