Catherine Jane Fletcher, 78, of St. Peter, MN passed away July 29, 2017, at Benedictine Health Center in St. Peter. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Thursday August 3, 2017 from 4pm-7pm at St. Peter Funeral Home in St. Peter, MN. St. Peter Funeral home is assisting the family.
Cathy was born to Clifford and Ruth Salisbury on December 7, 1938 in St. Ansgar Iowa. She grew up on a farm outside of Lyle, MN and attended school in Lyle where she received her diploma. Cathy married John Fletcher in Daytona, Florida on February 15, 1971. Cathy worked many jobs, her first job was in the grocery store in Lyle and then the bank. In 1978, she moved to St. Peter and spent many years caring for the residents at the St. Peter Nursing home. Her love for people was evident, after leaving the nursing home she worked at McDonald's in St. Peter where she made everyone feel welcome. In her spare time, she mended many clothes and other items for family and friends, she crocheted, and loved to cook. She was an amazing person that touched the lives of many, her humor and kind nature will be missed.
Cathy is survived by her daughter Sherri (Todd) Terhurne; and grandchildren Taylor, John, Stephen, and Anna. She also has a wonderful extended family, Dave and Darlene Terhurne and their family who always welcomed her lovingly. She was proceeded in death by her husband John, parents Clifford and Ruth, brother Richard, and several other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all, especially her daughter.
A special thanks to all that cared for her, the staff and doctors at Mayo Health System in Mankato and Benedictine Health Center in St. Peter. She received amazing and loving care from all.
