Alvin E. Thelemann, age 85 of LeSueur, died on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Mayo Hospital in Mankato. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ. Interment will be in the Mound Cemetery in LeSueur. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Kolden Funeral Home in LeSueur and one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday.
He was born on October 27, 1932 in Tyrone Township on the family farm. He graduated from LeSueur High School. Alvin married Marjorie Nuessmeier on May 30, 1953 in LeSueur at the former Zion Church. He served in the U. S. Army from 1953 to 1955 in Fort Riley, Kansas. After his honorable discharge he continued to farm the family farm. He enjoyed playing baseball for the Dresselville Sluggers and other LeSueur town teams. There was a baseball diamond on the farm. He also was passionate about fishing, winter and summer and also enjoyed bowling. He enjoyed tapping trees and making maple syrup

Children, Gail (Jim) Bach of Rogers, Minnesota, Gary (Amy) Thelemann of LeSueur and Terry (Bob Holz)Thelemann of Waconia.

Sisters, Janice Baumer and Marion (John) Roschen of Eden Prairie. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Brother, Carl (Marlys) Thelemann and brother-in-law, Dick Baumer.
